the 1/25 Key Volunteer

these brave men and
women. The Ball and assistance to these men and their
families are largely
funded by the Key Volunteer Network. As bikers many of
us are Vets and many of
us have sons and daughters who are serving in defense of
the U.S.A. Let us
rally and show our support for these fine young men and
women remember
that times have changed from when many of us served
these young people who
picked up the sword of justice and truth have all
volunteered saying a great
deal about the values we have instilled in them. So come

(Sunday)
Jared's Ride... Ride for our Brother in Blue.
All proceeds to benefit the JARED FUND.
Jared Connors, 2-year-old only son of
Ricky and Reia Briggs-Connors, suffers from a rare and terminal
illness known as Sanfilippo's disease
MPS111B. Children afflicted with this disease, usually
die before adulthood. Children with the disease are missing an
essential enzyme that breaks down a complex sugar called heparin
sulfate. These sugars slowly build up in the brain, stopping normal
development, and causing hyperacticity, sleep disorders, loss of
speech, dementia, and typically death before adulthood. Other
complications of the disease include blindness, seizures, mental
retardation, and progressive neurological disease leading to the
inability to care for self, and to function. Currently
THERE IS
NO CURE!!
Reia and Ricky are carriers of the disease gene, and would pass the disease on to any offspring the produce, so this truly is a tragic situation for this hard working, loving family, who will lose their only son, and will not be able to have any more children!
The family is well known in the Metropolitan Boston area. Reia is cofounder of the Phunk Phenomenon Dance Company in Everett and Ricky has been an Everett police officer for nearly six years.
The fund is set up to help the Connors and other children who suffer from this disease by raising money for research into a cure.
Event sponsored by Boston Harley Davidson. Registration fee: $25.00 pp. Registration from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Ride leaves at 12:00 PM Sharp. Join Steve DeOssie, Jo- Jo White and other well known celebrities for a fun filled day to raise money for the Jared Fund. Police Escorted 80 mile scenic ride. FREE BBQ & refreshments at end of the run. Live Bands all day, DJ in between, clowns, face painters for children, games for kids, vendors, and more, raffles, 50/50! An entire day of fun for sure!!
