Jul 8 BWAH Maine..Hello BWAH folks, CONFIRMED FOR 2007
Our next BWAH "Ride For Cheer" is scheduled for this coming Sunday, meeting at the usual location in Kennebunk at 3:00PM. (http://www.bikerheart.org/events.html) We're planning on visiting a 13 y/o boy named James from Limington. James does not have any specific medical condition or physical disabilities, but has been emotionally impacted by a seriously abusive [prior] environment. Fortunately, he was "rescued" and is now being raised by a loving and caring adopted mother, Nancy.
Some of you may recall a "Ride For Cheer" we did for the Taylor and Tyler twins from Waterboro last year. Their adopted mom, Ruth, is Nancy's sister. Over the past many years, both Ruth and Nancy have been driven by a mission to "rescue" special-needs kids that are in the state social service pipeline. James is one of several kids that have been blessed by the incredibly sacrificial and compassionate spirit of Nancy and Ruth.
Let's bring some joy to James, who is prone to suffer depression as an unfortunate consequence of his prior "life". Again, if the weather forecast is threatening, please call 967-5830 to determine the status of the ride. (If the ride is canceled due to rain, it will be rescheduled for the following Sunday, same time, same place.)
Hope to see y'all on Sunday. Tell a friend.
And remember, ride safe and... THINK OF THE KIDS!
