Oct 22-Benefit Ride for Dave Watson:

Help Needed for Injured Rider  Ludlow, MA resident Dave Watson, 28, was critically injured at the Jefferson, PA Hillclimb, on September 24th.  Dave was airlifted from the scene and remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Dave is one of the top racers in the American Motorcycle Association’s Pro-Hillclimb Division.  He currently ranks first in the standings in the 800cc category, and is a seven-time AMA Champion in two different classes.  Dave started racing as an Amateur in the New England Hillclimbers Association more than 15 years ago, and for many years he has supported the members of NEHA.

Event organizer Allison Hebert, former Secretary of Worcester HOG and MMA Govt’ Relations Deputy, was fortunate to have shared in Dave’s teachings, as a former racer herself raced Dave’s bikes as an amateur on the New England Hillclimbing circuit.   Please join her, other AMA and MMA road and off-road riders, in helping Dave and his family through this period of high medical bills and ongoing household expenses.

  • Oct 22 West Coast REGIONAL NCOM Conference*Tentative Date*  will feature a seminar on the PATRIOT ACT, by the AIM (Aid to Injured Motorcyclists) Attorney who is most knowledgable on it, Michael Mandleman, our Wisconsin (plus two other states) AIM guy. If you're gonna be anywhere around the West on October 23rd, the conf. is scheduled to be that day, a Saturday, at the La Quinta, in Federal Way, Washington. That's right on I-5, just north of Tacoma, and south of Seattle, if you're going to be out this way. All bikers are invited, and it's free. The La Quinta hotel there should have a special NCOM rate. Contact the NCOM office if you want any details on that. They're at 1-800-On-A-Bike, same as for AIM (also at the easier old numeric number, 1-800-531-2424). OH -- and when you call, I'd ask for Joey Lester, and he should be able to help.

    When:
    Friday Oct 27, 2006

Tim Gearan , Superhoney , and The Soul Band!
    plus special guests!
Add some great food to the mix and that makes this event a must to attend!
Debbie is the sister of my very good friends Scott and John Aruda, Scott has played trumpet with me on numerous occasions including Blind Lemon Aid Events (for free I might add) Both he and John have played as members of The U.B. Bigg Band and The Radio King Orchestra. Scott has played on two of my CD's. My latest release 'Bloozin" and on the Radio Kings " Money Road". On both recordings, he also arranged the horns. Both he and his brother John have been there for me many many times.
    Please
     help support a great cause!

Tim Gearan is a good buddy of mine and played numerous shows with me at The Tanner Tavern in Woburn this past summer. Everyone was asking "Who's that guitarist? He's great!'  His band is made up of some of the best talent you'll ever see.  Not sure what axe he is bringing to this show but it doesn't matter, he is equally amazing with an Acoustic as he is with his Telecaster. Worth the price of admission alone! Check out some music by Tim Gearan

I have been hearing about Superhoney for years and have not made it out to see them. I am really exited to finally get a chance to check them out. Looks like they've played all over the world (including China!) Now they can add Winchester MA to the list!

Check out some music and video footage of Superhoney

For those of you who didn't get to see The Soul Band tear the roof off of The Regent Theater at the last Blind Lemon Aid event, here's another chance. Trust me, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW! Some music and some video from The Soul Band!

Oct 29 (Sunday) 18th Annual Witch Hunt to Salem, Ma

New England's LARGEST Halloween Ride For Charity

Like leaves falling from the trees, the annual Witch Hunt Run to Salem is a long-standing tradition in Massachusetts that continues to grow in legendary proportions! Join thousands of riders as they snake through the northeast cities and towns on their way to the "Witch City" of Salem to benefit Muscular Dystrophy. A tradition not to be missed! For many, it's the last "hurrah" in the riding season. Call 617-389-8888 for more info!!

The biggest ride in New England.  Police escort to Pickering Wharf in Salem, MA.  For those that haven't done this ride before, it is VERY well organized and a fairly slow, parade like, pace.  Tens of thousands of people line the route to watch all the bikes.  It can take an hour or so for all the bikes to pass one location.  The ground trembles, there is a steady roar in the air, kids and adults have a blast watching all the bikes.  The bikes take over downtown Salem as riders park their bikes and get a bite to eat, something cold (or hot) to drink, and walk around checking out all the other bikes.  Salem will be in full Halloween mode and you are sure to enjoy yourself.

Registration from 10am to 1pm.  Ride leaves at 1pm sharp.  $15pre-registration fee per person until October 27th at 6:00PM. $20.00 fee on the day of the ride.  There will be FREE refreshments compliments of Stop & Shop in Everett.

100% of the proceeds to benefit MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association)
