FOUR CORNERS IRON HORSE MOTORCYCLE RALLY ANNOUNCES
PLANS FOR 2006
The board of directors of the Four Corners Iron Horse
Motorcycle Rally is excited to announce plans for the 2004 rally event. The
dates will be September 2,3,4,5, Labor Day Weekend.
All activities will again be held in, or in close proximity to the
historic town of Durango, Co. Feature rally events and vendors will be at the
La Plata County Fairgrounds in the heart of town. There is plenty of room for
all types of vendors both indoors and outdoors. Rally participants and the
general public will be able to access the vendors without an admission charge.
A few of the planned daily activities include the original "Biker Bull Riding"
TM, Biker Field Events, great bands and comedians, as well as various contests
and competitions historically associated with the rally.
Nightlife downtown will feature top notch bands at various
establishments, including the Steamworks Brewing Co., Coloradopongas, The
Summit, Wild Horse Saloon, Solid Muldoon's, and the Iron Horse Inn to name a
few.
The board is also in the process of securing a premier campground,
bigger and more beautiful than we could have imagined. It is likely we will
have vendors and entertainment at the campground as well, which could possibly
be the area for national musical acts.
The board is currently working with the Durango Mall as the ideal
area to place the Demo Fleets. Once again, we will host and stage Sunday's
"Parade of Iron Horses" at the Durango Mall.
Several daily poker runs are being organized, each of which will
benefit a local area non-profit organization. The feature poker run will be
around the famous "Loop", through Silverton, Ouray, Ridgeway, Telluride,
Dolores and Mancos. This is the most spectacular riding anyone could ever
experience. All poker runs will have a small entry fee and substantial cash
prizes.
A four-day all-events armband will be available for $30, which will
gain the wearer access to all Four Corners Iron Horse Motorcycle Rally
sponsored events throughout the week. The four-day armband will also receive
10% off from numerous "Friends of the Rally" Durango businesses. Single day
all-events armbands will be $10, and single event admissions are $5.
The board of directors is confident the 2004 Four Corners Iron Horse
Motorcycle Rally will be the most exciting and spectacular rally event ever.
Durango's ambiance, historical charm, accommodations and five star restaurants
combine to create the perfect atmosphere for a perfect rally. We look forward
to seeing all of our friends, supporters and volunteers Labor Day Weekend,
2004. Check out our website
www.fourcornersrally.com
. Please know that there is much more to come, and the schedule is subject to
change. Thanks for sticking with us.
